I wanted to share my recent trip to Asheville, North Carolina. This was the destination for Food Blog Forum 2014. This is an event for food bloggers from all over the country. This was my first ever conference of any kind.
I knew I would have fun and learn so much. But I was not prepared for the surprise of being around so many people who share the same interests as I do. The love of food, where it comes from, how it is prepared, and how it is presented.
The community of Asheville made us feel so special and everything was arranged so well. I am still replaying the events back in my mind. We could not have asked for anything more.
I really never knew much about Asheville. I Did not expect such a quaint yet diverse and special place. Three days was really not enough time to enjoy what they have to offer. I will be going back!
Here’s a look at just some of the morsels we indulged in.
The DoubleTree Asheville-Biltmore hosted the welcome party for us.
When we arrived at the event, we were given not one, but two swag bags filled with all sorts of goodies. This was provided by Foodtopia Asheville
There were so many delicious foods to try. My favorite drink was the grilled peach moonshine. Not too sweet, not too strong! The grilled peaches gave it a nice caramel flavor. This paired very well with my favorite food of the evening, the smoked trout from Sunburst Farms. Very fresh and flavorful.
More to come….
